From a student initiative, to a cultural platform, to Three years flew by FAST โ through events with broad programmes, projects, collaborations and conversations.
However, the last period was more quiet than what we all got used to. 809 was figuring out a lot behind the scenes โ its positioning in the world, autonomy, and identity. After many hard decisions, plenty of deep breaths and a few brave steps, the team is ready to talk. So let's talk.
Why and how it started, where it is now, where it is going/where it can go, and what it takes to be a platform whose mission is to serve Amsterdamโs creative community? Truth is, there is no 809 without you.
This evening we will gather familiar faces, friends they bring with them, fresh yet timeless music and a lineup of artists who have shaped 809. ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ป'๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ถ๐ป๐๐๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐), and a good old ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฏ to close the night.
Whether a veteran or just hopping on the ride, doesnโt matter. Weโre here again for what connects us most โ music. All doors open.
