Rooted in Curaçao and inspired by the flavours, ingredients and food traditions of the Caribbean, this cooking is centred around making plants the star. A big part of the inspiration comes from her grandmother, who taught her to cook and showed her the importance of food as a way of bringing people together, sharing culture and creating memories.
There is also a strong focus on creating more space for vegetarian and vegan options within Caribbean cooking. Plant-based food doesn’t have to mean leaving behind the flavours and traditions that make Caribbean food so special. Instead, familiar ingredients, spices and techniques are reimagined into dishes that are rich, comforting and full of character.
The result is food that feels nostalgic while still being playful and contemporary. Colourful, generous and made to be shared.
